Mike McCurdy, REALTOR® (we, us, our) operates mccurdyrealtor.com and pointlomalife.com. We are licensed real estate agents at Compass Luxury Real Estate, La Jolla, California. CA DRE #01435434.
This policy applies to anyone, anywhere, who uses either site. By using the site, you agree to this policy.
What we collect.
Information you give us directly:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Property preferences when you request a home search or home value report
- Any message you send through our contact form, by email, or by text
- Newsletter signup email
Information collected automatically:
- IP address and approximate location
- Browser, device, and operating system info
- Pages viewed, time on site, and referring website
- Cookies and similar tracking tech (see § 05)
How we use it.
We use your information to:
- Help you find or sell a home
- Send the weekly newsletter (you can unsubscribe any time)
- Respond to your questions, calls, texts, and emails
- Understand how the site is used and improve it
- Comply with legal and tax requirements
We don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or significant effects on you.
Your rights.
California (CCPA / CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we don't sell), and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
European Union (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, object to processing of, and port your data, and to not be subject to solely automated decision-making.
Other states: Many states (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others) have similar privacy rights laws. We honor those rights for residents of those states.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by your jurisdiction (typically 30–45 days).
Data security.
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption, access controls on our admin tools, and vetted service providers.
No internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected users without undue delay if we ever experience a data breach that materially affects them, in line with applicable laws.
How long we keep it.
We retain your information only as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
If you ask us to delete your data and there's no legal obligation to keep it, we will delete it within 30 days.
Children's privacy.
Our sites are intended for adults 18 and older and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, post a notice on our homepage or email subscribers.
