San Diego to Host Surfing + Soccer 2028 Summer olympics
Snapdragon stadium + Trestles Beach - San Diego
July 14-30, 2028
San Diego is officially stepping onto the world stage as a host city for the 2028 Summer Olympics, taking place July 14–30, 2028, with two major events set along its iconic coastline and skyline. Olympic soccer matches will be held at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego—temporarily renamed “San Diego Stadium” for the Games—while Olympic surfing will unfold at the legendary Trestles Beach, widely considered one of the best high-performance waves on the planet. As part of the greater Los Angeles Olympic region, these marquee events will bring elite international athletes, global media coverage, and thousands of visitors to San Diego. Olympic ticket registration opens this April and advance sign-up is required, making early registration essential for anyone hoping to witness history in person.
